VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Whether it’s getting groceries, a prescription or someone to talk to, Canada’s largest Muslim youth group has launched a campaign to help people across the country.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association is offering a hand to those who might not be able to pick up groceries, have their prescriptions filled or, just to provide moral support.

“It is crucial for Canadians to come together and support each other these difficult and uncertain times,” President of the association, Zubair Afzal, says.

“We have launched the Neighbourhood Helper camping to help Canadians who need it most.”

The campaign launches Tuesday and will run indefinitely as the association monitors the COVID-19 outbreak.

People who need assistance can sign up at helpingneighbours.com, and they can register to connect with a volunteer for as long as the outbreak continues.
