The Shelter Bus for the Homeless Offers 20 Beds, Bathrooms & More

In an effort to protect those vulnerable in the harsh Canadian winter, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association partnered with Humanity First to launch the Shelter Bus initiative. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat was founded in 1889 and has a presence in over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions.

The Shelter Bus aims to help the homeless in Toronto and is outfitted with 20 beds, a kitchenette, lounge space, and
bathrooms. To serve these at-risk communities the Shelter Bus will visit various neighborhoods in Toronto nightly to provide shelter and hot meals to those in need for three months this winter. his unique philanthropic initiative is a mobile solution to help those in need.

The Shelter Bus officially launched on Tuesday, December 3rd at 11 am in Nathan Philips Square, Toronto.
